BackJanuary 15th, 2024. Coral Springs, Fla. Top Pro Motorsports has officially announced that it has signed 18-year-old rider Romeo Chiavini from Monaco for the complete 2024 MotoAmerica Twins Cup Championship.
Romeo will race the Aprilia RS 660.
Romeo secured the National Speed Championships in 2020 in his first year of racing. This performance allowed him to make the leap to the Junior Speed Italian Championship on an Aprilia RS 250 in 2021, where he will finish 9th in the Championship. In 2022, he entered the Italian Speed Championship on an Aprilia RS 660 Trofeo to continue his support of the Aprilia brand project, which aims to launch the youngest and most talented riders careers who dream of one-day racing in Moto GP. This choice was risky because Romeo had to adapt to the new circuits and the bike quickly. But it paid off at the end of the year: Romeo had good results and showed great potential.
2023 saw Romeo do well with solid results, first with the Yamaha R7 in the R7 Cup in Spain, in a pole position for his first time on this track. And a front-row finish in the Aprilia Rs660 Trofeo in the Italian Championship.
