BackDMI Client, Kon Rodz NHRA Top Alcohol Funny Car Team, is proud to be officially announcing its multi-year primary sponsorship with Sta-Lube.
Sta-Lube was co-founded in 1933 by University of Southern California (USC) professor Dr. Laird Stabler and his son Dwight Stabler. Dr. Stabler was one of the first innovators to use additives to create high performance motor oil.
Throughout the ’50s and ’60s Sta-Lube became well known for its racing motor oil. The company was an annual SCTA sponsor for the Utah based Bonneville National Speed Trials and regularly supported land speed, sprint, midget car and boat racing.
Sta-Lube ceased its motor oil production in 1974, but their business in premium greases and gear oils continued to thrive. Today, Sta-Lube products are manufactured at CRC Industries, Inc. in Warminster, Pennsylvania. CRC acquired the company in 1993.
Kon Rodz Racing is celebrating its 10th year of operation and is starting a new era with some exciting changes. Stefan Kontos, the team’s President, will also be the team’s driver of the 3500hp methanol burning top alcohol funny car.
